Todd Simkin serves as the head of SPEI. He started at SIG in 1997 as a candidate in our Trader Development program, trading equity and index derivative products on the floor of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the NASDAQ, and NYSE markets, as well as on international stock and derivative exchanges, most notably in Germany and the United Kingdom. Mr. Simkin currently oversees global recruiting, private equity, and venture capital. He received an MBA from The Wharton School and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. Mr. Simkin currently serves as Chairman of the board of U.S. Mills, LLC and serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Board of Trade, Programs Employing People, and GenSight.
Scott Feldman joined SPEI in January 2006. Prior to joining SPEI, he was a managing director at Broadmark Capital, LLC, an investment bank based in Seattle and New York, where he was responsible for overseeing the New York operations of Broadmark, which included corporate finance activities, institutional brokerage, and alternative asset management services. Prior to joining Broadmark in 2000, Mr. Feldman was a member of the institutional sales team at Gabelli & Company. He has experience raising equity and debt capital for both public and private companies in the technology, business services, consumer products, manufacturing, telecommunications, and media sectors. Mr. Feldman graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He currently serves on the boards of U.S. Mills, LLC and HMP Communciations.
Nick Maxwell joined SPEI in July 2006. Prior to joining SPEI, Nick began his career at SIG in 2005 as a candidate in the Trader Development Program, assisting in the trading of equity and index derivative products on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. As an associate with SPEI, his responsibilities include reviewing potential investment opportunities, due diligence, and financial modeling. While at SPEI, Nick has worked on transactions in the information services, financials services and consumer products industries. Nick graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Economics and a concentration in Mathematics.
